Check’In Infra 2 et Infra 2+ for technical infrastructures

Designed to meet the specific constraints of all technical infrastructures, Check’In Infra 2 is the solution to effectively combat the surge in raw material theft from these essential structures for network managers and operators.

A unique protection and monitoring system to ensure network operators’ service continuity.

Energy, telecom, transport, waste: network management companies and operators face increasing thefts and vandalism affecting their technical infrastructures.

Often isolated, numerous, and unable to be secured traditionally due to their purpose and structure, these infrastructures are prime targets for thieves.

Such acts complicate the management, monitoring, and maintenance of these essential components for their production, distribution, or operational activities, resulting in:

  • Service discontinuities detrimental to clients and users, potentially causing dramatic consequences when they prevent access to emergency services.
  • An explosion in maintenance, repair, and security costs, impacting the final price of their often-essential services.

Somes key figures to illustrate :

  • “In 2023, more than 1000 kilometres of copper cable were stolen in France. That’s a round trip from Paris to Bordeaux,” stated Christel Heydemann, CEO of Orange, representing a +50% increase compared to 2022.
  • SNCF reported that over 40,000 trains were affected by metal theft in 2022, resulting in losses exceeding 20 million euros.
  • In 2022 and 2023, metal thefts caused 84,390 minutes of delays for British trains, costing approximately 12.24 million pounds sterling. This phenomenon is unlikely to cease given the global increase in demand and the price of copper.

To provide a simple and effective solution to these operators, Artifeel’s teams developed the first generation of the Check’In Infra alarm and monitoring unit.

This technology, adopted by Orange to protect its infrastructures from January 2024, now evolves to protect even more infrastructures for longer with the launch of Check’In Infra 2 and 2+.

An Innovation serving all technical infrastructures, in France and internationally

The Check’In Infra alarm and monitoring systems are an evolution and adaptation of Check’In technology, specifically designed to address the constraints and challenges of technical installations.

These more robust devices integrate our Check’In technology in a waterproof casing, enriched with PIR technology and a light sensor, ready to intelligently detect and respond to various events. A technology created to:

  • Protect often isolated technical infrastructures 24/7, such as telecom technical rooms, gas delivery points, electrical cabinets, and railway technical infrastructures.
  • Notify in real-time of intrusion attempts, already helping actors like British Telecom and Orange combat cable theft, vandalism, or illegal occupation.
  • Adapt to any type of infrastructure thanks to their continuous learning function, allowing for monitoring deviations from the nominal behaviour of the infrastructure to anticipate maintenance and thus enhance structural security.

The alarm unit detects and analyses various events to provide precise information and notifications, hosted on our secure “AI As A Service” platform, accessible either directly in clients’ hypervision tools via API or on our Pro Dashboard.

A System enhanced by the hardware and software evolutions of the second generation of Check’In technology.

This new generation of the Check’In Infra system capitalises on the hardware and software evolutions of the second generation of Check’In technology:

  • Enhanced autonomy through hardware evolution: a complete redesign allowing autonomy to increase from 2 to 5 years, notably thanks to the high-intensity battery power system.
  • Faster notifications through the integration of “Power Saving Mode,” which accelerates modem communication.
  • Enhanced connection possibilities with:
    • Optimisation of the dual SIM functionality: complete connectivity redundancy ensuring uninterrupted communication, essential for remote or temporary sites.
    • Addition of an extra antenna in its Check’In Infra 2+ version for extended network coverage to protect the most complex and isolated locations.

Like all alarms in the Check’In range, Check’Infra 2 can be combined with a Check’In Bluetooth identification badge for more precise event and intervention tracking.
