Check’In Infra 2 et Infra 2+ for technical infrastructures

Designed to meet the specific constraints of all technical infrastructures, Check’In Infra 2 is the solution to effectively combat the surge in raw material theft from these essential structures for network managers and operators.

A unique protection and monitoring system to ensure network operators’ service continuity.

Energy, telecom, transport, waste: network management companies and operators face increasing thefts and vandalism affecting their technical infrastructures.

Often isolated, numerous, and unable to be secured traditionally due to their purpose and structure, these infrastructures are prime targets for thieves.

Such acts complicate the management, monitoring, and maintenance of these essential components for their production, distribution, or operational activities, resulting in:

  • Service discontinuities detrimental to clients and users, potentially causing dramatic consequences when they prevent access to emergency services.
  • An explosion in maintenance, repair, and security costs, impacting the final price of their often-essential services.

Somes key figures to illustrate :

  • “In 2023, more than 1000 kilometres of copper cable were stolen in France. That’s a round trip from Paris to Bordeaux,” stated Christel Heydemann, CEO of Orange, representing a +50% increase compared to 2022.
  • SNCF reported that over 40,000 trains were affected by metal theft in 2022, resulting in losses exceeding 20 million euros.
  • In 2022 and 2023, metal thefts caused 84,390 minutes of delays for British trains, costing approximately 12.24 million pounds sterling. This phenomenon is unlikely to cease given the global increase in demand and the price of copper.

To provide a simple and effective solution to these operators, Artifeel’s teams developed the first generation of the Check’In Infra alarm and monitoring unit.

This technology, adopted by Orange to protect its infrastructures from January 2024, now evolves to protect even more infrastructures for longer with the launch of Check’In Infra 2 and 2+.

An Innovation serving all technical infrastructures, in France and internationally

The Check’In Infra alarm and monitoring systems are an evolution and adaptation of Check’In technology, specifically designed to address the constraints and challenges of technical installations.

These more robust devices integrate our Check’In technology in a waterproof casing, enriched with PIR technology and a light sensor, ready to intelligently detect and respond to various events. A technology created to:

  • Protect often isolated technical infrastructures 24/7, such as telecom technical rooms, gas delivery points, electrical cabinets, and railway technical infrastructures.
  • Notify in real-time of intrusion attempts, already helping actors like British Telecom and Orange combat cable theft, vandalism, or illegal occupation.
  • Adapt to any type of infrastructure thanks to their continuous learning function, allowing for monitoring deviations from the nominal behaviour of the infrastructure to anticipate maintenance and thus enhance structural security.

The alarm unit detects and analyses various events to provide precise information and notifications, hosted on our secure “AI As A Service” platform, accessible either directly in clients’ hypervision tools via API or on our Pro Dashboard.

A System enhanced by the hardware and software evolutions of the second generation of Check’In technology.

This new generation of the Check’In Infra system capitalises on the hardware and software evolutions of the second generation of Check’In technology:

  • Enhanced autonomy through hardware evolution: a complete redesign allowing autonomy to increase from 2 to 5 years, notably thanks to the high-intensity battery power system.
  • Faster notifications through the integration of “Power Saving Mode,” which accelerates modem communication.
  • Enhanced connection possibilities with:
    • Optimisation of the dual SIM functionality: complete connectivity redundancy ensuring uninterrupted communication, essential for remote or temporary sites.
    • Addition of an extra antenna in its Check’In Infra 2+ version for extended network coverage to protect the most complex and isolated locations.

Like all alarms in the Check’In range, Check’Infra 2 can be combined with a Check’In Bluetooth identification badge for more precise event and intervention tracking.

Aditel Forum: Artifeel in Attendance!

Thanks to its partner Sotel, Artifeel will participate in the Aditel Forum on 12th and 13th September in Marseille. This is a unique opportunity to engage with key players in banking security.

Artifeel is proud to participate alongside its partner Sotel in the 2024 edition of the Aditel forum.

A must-attend event for those involved in security within financial institutions and monitoring services, organised by the ADITEL association, the forum annually delves “deeply into a current topic closely aligned with the concerns of security managers” in the sector.

This year, the main theme is “Impacts of Organising Major Events on Private Security.” It provides Artifeel with the opportunity to share its initial experiences gained during the Paris 2024 Olympics.

These two days of meetings and exchanges will also allow us to discuss the specific security and surveillance challenges in the banking sector. Artifeel and Sotel are working together to offer increasingly efficient and innovative solutions for these challenges.

We warmly thank our partner Sotel for this invitation.

We are delighted to participate in this event and eager to contribute to discussions on the future of security in the banking sector.

Check’In secures access to building’s roofs

Illegal use of smoke vents or skydome is a major problem for property managers. Ils doivent garantir le bon fonctionnement de ces dispositifs pour la sécurité des personnes et la maintenance des bâtiments. The Check’In system’s monitoring and alarm technology makes these devices even more secure, with minimal impact on the infrastructure and easier management for teams.

Smoke vents: a critical access point for safety

Smoke vents or skydomes are an essential part of the security system in managed buildings. Social landlords, real estate management companies and building owners must put in place effective, ongoing systems and procedures for monitoring and maintaining these vents in order to meet their legal obligations. However, these smoke extraction systems are often used illegally to gain access to roofs, compromising their smooth operation and the safety of the building.

Smoke vents

Skydomes must remain closed to :

  • Ensure their effectiveness in the event of fire.
  • Prevent accidents involving roof access.
  • Prevent damage to the building.

In the event of unauthorised opening, it is crucial for the building manager to intervene quickly to check and restore the system.

In the absence of security systems and real-time remote monitoring, checking skydomes is a daily task for field teams. These rounds of checks are time-consuming and do not guarantee rapid intervention in the event of real damage.

Simplify skydome management with Check’In

With Check’In, forget complicated installations! There’s no need to screw a box into the wall or install a wired door-opening sensor on the skydome frame and leaf.

Check’In is an all-in-one device, which can be installed in the blink of an eye using an ultra-resistant double-sided tape system. It has no impact on the infrastructure or the fire system, and requires no additional electrical or Wi-Fi connection.

Once installed, Check’In works continuously, 24/7, to notify any unauthorised opening in real time and remotely, without the need for additional activation.

This real-time monitoring system offers a number of advantages:

  • Centralised and optimised maintenance management: teams and service providers only intervene when the system detects a need.
  • Precise monitoring of maintenance work carried out by service providers, with automatic detection and logging in the Check’In system.
  • Prevent damage to common areas of buildings caused by rain or wind, by quickly closing devices that have been left open for too long.

Protecting In’li skydomes with the Check’In system

Use case: In’li

As the leading provider of intermediate housing in the Paris region, In’li manages more than 50,000 homes.

Artifeel has deployed Check’In boxes on the outlets of buildings managed by In’li, enabling agents to know precisely when and where an outlet is open, for rapid intervention.

According to Alexis Boissières, Innovation Project Manager at In’li LAB :

“The Check’in box solution offers a remarkable plug-and-play approach, providing not only an instant alert in the event of an attempted roof intrusion, but also optimised supervision of our service providers responsible for the security of our fire smoke extraction systems.

Check-in allows us to better control and anticipate incidents, thereby strengthening the security and surveillance of our assets.»

Saving time and improving efficiency for In’li, for safer, more autonomous infrastructures.

Would you like to simplify the management of your skydomes and make it more reliable?
